Aedes Real Estate is developing a luxury boutique hotel in La Heredia. The project is the conversion of a former office building and apartment at the entrance of the Urbanizacion. Both buildings were designed by renowned architect Cesar de Leiva in 1998 and served as offices for a property developer until 2006. The building has been vacant since.
The plans for the hotel include 27 rooms on 5 floors and a separate parking garage with approximately 20 parking spaces. The ground floor serves primarily as entrance/reception, living room for the hotel guests and back of house areas. The hotel has no restaurant. The exterior of the buildings will be restored, the layout will be changed and the interior will be renewed completely.
The interior will be honest, warm and homely, providing the guests a connection to the surrounding scenery, local craftsmanship and cultural heritage – the foundation of the design. With a backdrop of local materials and lived in home features (colourful tiles, rich fabrics, comfortable sofas and a grand fireplace) they will create the feeling of indulgent luxury.
